Christopher Walken on Twitter

—————————-
So apparently this post is null and void considering twitter has shut down the acct.  Sure its probably not him, bu what turn it off.

Christopher Walken

I can neither confirm nor deny the validity of the author of the Christopher Walken twitter, http://twitter.com/cwalken, but it is  unmistakeably #1 #2 most read twitter personality.  The captions are quite hilarious, and certainly worth reading each time it is posted.  Every time it pops up in my twitterfox, I smile, and read with quite envy.

Here’s a few of my favorites from the last week or so.

I spoke to a lovely reporter today. I don’t know if she was really who she said she was but that’s fine. I secretly used an ironic tone.

Mrs. Liebowitz’s cat has gone missing again. He answers to “Martin” and walks with an unfortunate limp. This was only partially my fault. …. To clarify – It’s partially my fault that the cat answers to “Martin.” I believe his name is actually “Pookie” but I won’t call a cat that.

The pope is in Angola now. In local dialect “Pope” translates to “goofy old man wearing a white tent.” I’m making this up. Don’t quote me.

If it isn’t Walken, it won’t stop me from reading it anyhow.  I’d tell you to follow my own twitter, but I rarely update during when I’m not working from home, one of these days I’ll get one of those new fangled phones that do such wonders.  I certainly could use the followers though.

Caught this off of Curious Artist, the artwork is absolutely fantastic, artist Jonathan Jarvis, really nailed an excellent theme for the video.  The concept aside, the message in the animation is really interesting, and for someone like myself, helped me work my head around how this crisis happened.

Check the video after the break…

Bill Burr – Muffins

Aww man, this guy is so absolutely hilarious, but this one really touches home, because I’m pretty sure I’ve been to every flea market, street fair, and market within a 100 mile radius.  I totally know what he went through, although I don’t have the same homicidal thoughts,  I can truly understand the useless crap you can see at some of these fairs.  And the idea of a ’saturday’ event that takes all day, and totally sucks.  Oh man, I’m so in for it.

For more from Bill Burr… check out some of the youtube videos.

I’m gonna go get some air.

Blitzen Trapper February 25

Holy wowness, its been a good few weeks for music (for me that is).  My band completed one of the best shows we’ve had, I spent wednesday in Northampton MA at the Pearl St. Nightclub, to see one of my favorite bands, Blitzen Trapper.  I’ve been listening to their album Furr, for quite some time now, certainly when I saw they were playing 2 shows near me, I had to get to one.  For $13 ( I wouldve paid twice that ) I knew if I didn’t go I’d be paying quite a bit more when they come back around.

I think there are two categories of bands, ones who seem to be much better in a studio, and ones who sound fantastic live.  I prefer the band whose  craft is in playing live shows, and for me, Blitzen Trapper had far exceeded the expectations I had of them.  What’s so great about them is they have a very original sound and they certainly don’t pigeon-hole themselves into a specific category.  There is some crooning songs, some heavier southern rock styled jams, and some laid back country twang.

I had an absolute blast and was quite happy I made the trip out to Northampton for this; it was certainly worth it.  If they make it back I’d like to check them out once again.
