It’s been a few days or weeks since I last posted, and for good reason.
For one, I’m busy with my life (drugs, sex, rock n roll) or its that I’ve been spending an egregious, absurd, and extraordinary amount of time listening to the new White Stripes album, Icky Thump.
It’s been all over the radio, the title track to the album, Icky Thump, gets its fair share of airtime, and for good reason. The White Stripes are one of the more creative, unique and interesting rock bands out there.
This album has blues riffs all over it, and if it is your cup of tea, it is certainly worth a listen. Although some have complained of a lack of talent in pertaining to the drums, this album, I think holds tight enough to really enjoy.
The album starts off with it’s title track which I think is actually one of their weaker songs on the album, but this always risks the possibility of it being over-played, (thanks MTV). A few other songs from this album really stand out, I myself, have really enjoyed the Catch Hell Blues (audio).
From beginning to end, I really enjoy this album, I don’t think I review album’s I don’t, but anyways, if the blues-rock style is what your in to, I think you’ll be more than satisfied with this.
